IVF#4 - FSH Day 11 Monitoring

Sorry for the late update, we've been going nonstop, having fun that is. Last night we met up with Phoebe (a fellow blogger) and her dh. We all went for an ovary friendly hike and then out to dinner. Good times! She surprised me with an angel holding a baby. So sweet, thanks Phoebe! Today we finally had a nice sunny day so Kerry and I spent 5 hours walking waddling around the zoo. I was smart this time and wore my 70 SPF sunscreen. We just got back from a Christian concert and are now ready to crash.

So today was day 11 and what a good day 11 it was! I trigger tonight at 10pm with 1/4 of an Novarel injection and a Lupron injection.

Results:

Lining: Unmeasurable as ovary was pushing into uterus
Right ovary (mm): 11.5, 12.4, 14.0, 17.5, 18.9, 19.6, 20.0, 21.2, 23.3
Left ovary (mm): 10.3, 12.8, 14.8, 15.0, 16.0, 16.5, 18.6, 19.8, 20.6, 20.6
E2: 3986 (4048 yesterday)
LH: 0.3
P4: 1.04

IVF#3 results as a comparison:

Lining: 11mm
Right ovary (mm): 14.9, 15.5, 16.3, 17.5, 18.7
Left ovary (mm): 17.9, 18.3, 19.3, 19.4, 20.0, 20.8, 22.7
E2: 5519
LH: 1.1
P4: 0.79

About the E2, looks like I may get my wish afterall! I may actually stay under 6000 for the first time. But then there's a part of me that is a little scared that it dropped, is that a bad thing? Sometimes the analyst in me drives me bonkers.

I'm set for ER Tue! I'm very anxious to get these eggs out of me and united with my hubby's dna. I fly home the same day. CCRM is not happy with this but I never expected to trigger this late and it would cost $750 for new flights. Fortunately I handle anethesia really well and feel I'll be fine. Our hotel has been wonderful and are letting me come back after ER to sleep until 3p no charge and then our flight is at 6:15p.

I return tomorrow for b/w. Ta ta for now!

  1. Having fun, what a concept, eh? It was really fun hanging out with you two. I'm glad you survived dancing on the mall!

BTW, I've always wanted to say this: Kerry is as tall as he looks in the photos! You two really look natural together, all height joking differences aside.

  2. Sounds good! Good luck with your trigger (which you've probably done by now), and good luck with retrieval!

  3. That sounds like fun! I'm so glad it is going well. I have no idea at all about the lowered E2 but think it must be a good thing that it didn't skyrocket! Also, I've heard of other women who flew home the night of ER and they were fine, so long as you handle the meds fine, you have Kerry there to help...you'll do great. I can't wait to hear about your ER!

  5. Hey girlfriend,

I haven't been online all weekend because my mom just got into town. Lots of updates on here and they all sound GREAT!! Woohoo on all the follies, I remember you telling me that most likely you'd have less so this is a huge plus!

Can't wait to get your fertilization report. This just seems like it went much better than you were even thinking!
