Giving It My All: Diet

2 weeks to transfer and I'm giving it my all. Here's the first major change I've made, diet.

My morning starts with a large glass of wheatgrass. Mmmmm....

After all the Ben & Jerry's and hormones I've pumped in me... this is how you can envision me in the morning.

For breakfast I make fruit plates or sometimes fruit smoothies. This spills over into an afternoon snack.

For lunch I make a nice salad. Kerry calls me the salad queen. At least I'm good at something as my talents are severly lacking in the kitchen. (Recipe: mixed greens, spinach, cherry tomatos, 1/2 avocado, strawberries, almonds, hard boiled egg, balsamic vinigarette)

For dinner, we have a side salad, a protein, a veggie and something tasty.

Better than canned ravioli, eh?

FET Status:

Today I had my blood drawn to check my Estradiol level. They want it >50. My nurse said my e2 was excellent at 79 and to keep following my calendar. Yeah!!!!!

  1. Wow that's healthy looking stuff you've got there! I completely and totally recognize those frozen wheatgrass cubes - I used to buy them from that same mfg too since the farm is only 20 minutes away from my house in Canada. I feel so connected to ya! I have everything crossed for you and can't wait to follow along.

  2. Those salads look yummy! Not sure how I feel about the wheatgrass....! Glad everything is going along wel. I can't wait to hear your BFP.

  3. Sounds like we're coasting along okay right now. Are we off that old kiddie coaster by now?

Just be sure you're getting enough good protein with all that yummy fruit and salad. Sorry the nurse/mother in me comes out. LOL

    Love you

  4. KayJay, that's so cool you live right by the DynamicGreens farm! What do you think of them as a company with getting to see their farm in real life?

Sis, thanks for keeping an eye on me. I'm getting lots of protein, there's a half an avocado on the salad, we eat lots of raw nuts and organic yogurt, and then there's chicken. Yep, time for some thrill rides! Love ya!

  5. I have to say, other than the wheatgrass, it all looks very yummy! And summer is the perfect season to eat healthy, when everything is in season and at its best.

Glad to hear your check went well yesterday.

  6. Oh wow! If I could make salads like that, I might eat them too :)

  7. I was doing barley juice, so I sympathize. :) Those pods you have are pretty cool. Good work on the e2 level!!!

  8. That lunch salad looks sooo good...and so does your E2 level...keep up the good work!!

    Smiles, Heidi

  9. Oh wow - those salads and fruit plates look lovely! Yumm!!!

Good luck with your FET prep! When do you transfer?

  10. Oh and Jill - in response to your comment on my blog. Yes, I'm actually here in Denver now. I had my FET yesterday (and am on bed rest now!). I'm not mentioning it on my blog at all, because of some of my IRL friends that read the blog. I was feeling too much "pressure" from them, you know?

My beta is on 8/5, so keep your fingers crossed for me! :-)

  11. hehehe - I'm going to be hogging all the comments here. Leave me a comment on my blog with an email address for you, and I will email you all the details! (I moderate my comments, so I won't publish your email id out to the world)

  12. I'm going to come to your house for all my meals from now on :)

    That's awesome!

  13. Yummy, now my mouth is officially watering. Mmm mmm! Those salads look wonderful and your E2 looks pretty good too! :)

  14. Everything looks great except the glass of grasshaha. All the salads look soooooo good. I'll be over for dinner one night.
So glad all things are going well, and we are definitely on a countdown.
    Love you bunches,
    Jean and Crew

  15. Hi Jill...
Some of that food looks really good, believe it or not! I wish I could eat like that one day a week, but I don't :( I just can't seem to get in the healthy mode, but then again, I am not revving up to baby-ville either like you are. Well I'm still praying and pulling for you to get little #7's going to be wonderful for EVERYBODY!!! Be always and a day,
    Aunt Carol

P.S. Your Mom and Butch need some prayers for their little baby Cassidy too...even though she's a pet, she's their baby and it is heart-breaking seeing your baby sick with disease. :( We all identify with that, I'm sure.

  16. Love that wheatgrass! I laughed at the cow picture. I can't look at my lawn or anyone else's the same way anymore. I just think, "What a waste. We could be eating that!" I'm up to 3 oz of frozen wheatgrass a day now. It's actually really refreshing on a hot day.

    Keep up the good work!

  17. I'm so glad to hear that things are going well - the food you have made looks wonderful! Happy eating.

  18. Hi.. the food looks delicious!!! It takes a little more time and effort, but you are geering up for a very special event and I am happy that you are in that mode.

You are in my thoughts and prayers as always...and by the way, have I ever told you this? Thank you for being my daughter... I am very proud of you.

I love you as big as the sky!!!

Thank you for your comment! Hugs, Kerry and Jill
